Fresh, healthy and creative food served in an old church at the top of town.
When mother and daughter duo Kathy Munday and Sarah McDonald started selling gluten free goodies at local New England farmers markets, they’d never have guessed the business would grow to a busy fulltime café and wholefood grocery store.
And with Kathy’s son Chris Munday now working the coffee machine, together the family is bringing vibrant, creative and delicious food and coffee to the people of this little town in the New England High Country.
Perched overlooking Uralla at the top of the main street in a former church, Naturally Healthy is wholesome indeed, its patrons dining on colourful salads and freshly baked treats in the shady front garden of the little country church. Popular with the locals is an understatement, and it’s not hard to see why.
The café has an ever-changing menu containing gourmet breakfasts using free-range bacon and eggs, gluten free pancakes, organic sourdough and muesli with coconut yoghurt and local berries, to name a few.
For lunch, grab a gourmet wrap, an allergy free pie or tart, a curry, or a nourishing salad – there are new and delicious things in the window each day. There’s a range of freshly baked sweet treats to go with a coffee, and a list of smoothies, juices and probiotic cold drinks to choose from.
The grocery side of the business sells local fruit and vegies, organic and allergy-free bread, free-range eggs, organic dairy, healthy snacks, locally made preserves and more. This is the perfect place to stock up the caravan or car with healthy groceries before you hit the road again, not to mention the best place in Uralla for lunch!
