Walcha's Annual Agricultural Show highlights the best local products from Walcha and the surrounding districts. Enjoy the sheep shearing and fleece displays; horticulture and local farm produce; the cattle and horse events including dressage, hacking, sporting and jumping; the rodeo events, wood-chopping, poultry and dogs and pets. See the high-quality art and photography by the talented artistic community - a crowd-drawing section of the pavilion; woodwork and handicraft; cooking, preserves, jams and jelly; vegetables, needlework, knitting and crochet. There are exhibits from the local schools, the Hostel, Nursing Home, and Day Care. Sideshow Alley has rides for children, big and small at heart and of course, fairy floss, show-bags and dagwood dogs are a show favourite. Highlights on Friday include Ring Events, Wool Forum, Yard Dog Trials, Sheep Shearing, and Dog Jumping, all wrapped up with the finale of fabulous fireworks. Saturday's highlights include Ring Events, the Grand Parade, the Ag Bike Competition, the Pet Competition and the Demolition Derby.
