Thunderbolts Festival features a parade down Bridge Street with Captain Thunderbolt, classic cars, hot rods, antique machinery, fire engines, local schools and community groups. There are lots of activities on the day including face painting, a rock climbing wall, a dual giant slide, a bouncing castle, a hula hoop competition and more. There are also market stalls showcasing some of the best the region has to offer.
Acknowledgement of Country
We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the New England High Country region and recognise their continuing connection to land, water and community. We pay respect to Elders – past, present and emerging – and acknowledge the important role Indigenous Peoples continue to play within the New England High Country community.
