Topper’s Mountain is named after brothers Edward and William Topper, employees of George Jnr. and Alwyn Wyndham (sons of George Wyndham, founder of Wyndham Estate). George Jnr. and Alwyn owned New Valley Station, which included the present day Topper’s Mountain. Over more than a decade, Mark Kirkby, in close collaboration with winemaker Mike Hayes, has established a vineyard packed with exciting alternative varieties. Tasting Experience (Bookings Required) - From Tuesday to Saturday their knowledgeable staff will guide you through the tasting, sometimes accompanied by Vigneron Mark, or Wine Manager Jan, if either is in residence. Sunday Vineyard Bar & Cellar Door - On Sundays Topper's Mountain cellar door is available for a Tasting Experience or just to enjoy a glass of Topper's wine with a charcuterie board. Toppers Mountain vineyard is also available Tuesday to Sunday for groups (bookings required). Your group will have sole use of our facilities, and our cellar door manager.
