The 2024 New England Garden Festival (NEGF) will be held at the Armidale Racecourse. Costa Georgiadis (from ABC Gardening Australia) is the special guest this year and will provide a community talk on Friday night and then be at the Festival on Saturday. There will also be Lawn Mower Racing demonstrations on both Saturday and Sunday which will be something new for Armidale. The big weekend encompasses all those gardening activities that gardeners love to see and do. Stalls, stalls and more stalls with plants, gardening tools and equipment, gardening products, garden sculptures and everything gardeners dream of - and more! Workshops and demonstrations will be available so gardeners can learn and improve their gardening skills and knowledge. Feature gardens will be open, accessible by environmentally friendly means of transport, the much-loved shuttle buses that operated last year, and by car. Winning gardens in the Armidale Garden Competition categories will also be open so even more for gardeners to admire. Potted garden entries of hanging baskets, succulent gardens, bonsai, fairy and dinosaur gardens will be viewable at the Racecourse. And the icing on the cake - food vans and coffee!
