Walcha's Walking Tour of Historic Buildings adds richness and intrigue to a leisurely stroll through this picturesque New England township. As the oldest town and settlement in the region—first noted in 1818 by explorer John Oxley—Walcha carries its history in every street. Along the way, you'll encounter an inspiring blend of architectural character: stately basalt-stone churches, warm sandstock brick crafted locally, and the charm of weatherboard and slab-built structures that echo an earlier era. You can download the Walking Tour of Historic Buildings brochure or simply drop into the Walcha Visitor Information Centre to pick up a copy and begin your journey through time.
