Guyra Motor Inn, set amongst attractive surrounding gardens, is situated 1330 metres above sea level in the highest town on the tablelands and enjoys spectacular autumn colouring and sometimes snow in winter. Guyra Motor Inn is a 20 Unit motel, with five family rooms and fifteen Queen and Twin rooms, all with undercover parking in front of each unit and reverse cycle air-conditioning. Scenic attractions and tourist activities include a visit to the nearby spectacular Ebor Falls, trout fishing, bird watching at the Mother of Ducks Lagoon Wildlife Reserve, gem fossicking, Cathedral Rocks National Park, the Antique Farm Machinery collection, the Little Llangothlin Nature Reserve, bush walking and mountain bike riding. Festivals and events include the highly popular Guyra Lamb and potato Festival each January, the Guyra Show in February, the Bull Sales in August and the Trout Festival in October. The historic New England city of Armidale, with its elegant heritage buildings, renowned Regional Art gallery, museums and University, is a half hour drive away.
